Accepted file types:
preferred: Adobe PDF, Illustrator, PhotoShop, InDesign; Macromedia Freehand; Quark XPress; JPG, TIF, EPS
other:* Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Corel Draw; BMP, TXT
*"other" file types often require additional production time to convert them into a press-ready format.
Resolution/Color Space:
All bitmapped files MUST be at 300 DPI* or greater. All file types MUST be in CMYK color** (not RGB, Indexed, or LAB color). All spot color (such as PANTONE) must be designated as such.
*files supplied at LOWER than 300 DPI CANNOT be guaranteed to print accurately.
**additional time will be required to convert non-CMYK files into the appropriate color space.
Fonts:
fonts can be handled in two ways:
1. Outlines: ALL fonts must be converted into Outlines/Paths (this renders them uneditable as type, but ensures no font problems).
2. Embedded: ALL fonts must be EMBEDDED into the document, and INCLUDED with the supplied artwork files (PostScript or OpenType, no TrueType please).
Other:
•Transparencies must be FLATTENED or RASTERIZED.
•ALL screens should be AT LEAST 20%.
•BLEEDS require 1/8" of additional artwork around ALL borders that will bleed.
